Vote for ACCT in the People’s Projects!

Voting is now open for the National Lottery People’s Projects!

Some stuff about the whys and wherefores below, but here’s what we really need you to do, please:

1. Vote for ACCT via our campaign page https://www.thepeoplesprojects.org.uk/projects/view/accting-up
2. Get everybody in your family to vote, even children (there’s no age limit)
3. Share the voting info around your social media, work email networks, neighbourhood WhatsApp groups, and wherever else you can!

The Background

ACCT has reached the public vote stage of this year’s National Lottery People’s Projects and, with your support, we are in with a real chance of receiving a vital grant of £70,000 to help autistic young people in Sheffield.

ACCT is one of five shortlisted projects in the Calendar South region. On our campaign page you can see a great short film about ACCT featuring some of our amazing young people. And check it out tonight (Monday 15th) on ITV Calendar South News from 6pm.

Voting is open from today, Monday 15th May, to Friday 26th May. If we are in the top three of five projects in Calendar South, the Lottery will give ACCT a grant of £70,000.

Which would be massive for us this year.

More about voting

To vote for ACCT, go to our campaign page.

https://www.thepeoplesprojects.org.uk/projects/view/accting-up

You’ll see a ‘Start voting’ button. Then there’s a short form to fill in with your name, postcode, email address or mobile number (you’ll need this to verify your vote), how you heard about the People’s Projects and a checkbox to agree the terms and conditions (I’ve read em all, they’re fine, honest!).

Then when you hit continue, you have to verify your vote. If you put in an email address, you’ll get an email with a link you need to click/tap. If you put in a mobile number, you get a text message with a verification code which you enter on the website.

And that’s it. You’ve voted for ACCT. Thank you!

You can only use an email address or phone number once, so if your children or other family members are voting, you’ll need to use different emails and mobile numbers. Please let us know if this is causing you any issues.

We have a small number of pre-printed voting cards available. So if you or a non-online family member want to vote for ACCT but are struggling with the website, you can email Danny at d.antrobus@acctsheffield.org.uk with your name, address, postcode and contact telephone number and we can get a voting card completed for you.

Spreading the campaign around

Once you’ve voted, we would really appreciate you sharing our campaign with people you know, by forwarding this email on, sharing our social media posts or however else you could help us reach more people who could give ACCT a vote and help support autistic children in Sheffield.

Thank you for your support
