Other ways to support ACCT

As well as donating or collecting sponsorship, there are lots of other ways you can help support ACCT to raise the money we need each year. For example…

Voting and championing

ACCT is sometimes involved in funding competitions that involve voting, such as the Tesco Community Grants or Movement for Good schemes.

A great way of supporting ACCT is to vote for ACCT in schemes like these, and then, even more importantly, to share the information with your friends and acquaintances.

Right now, you can nominate ACCT for a Movement for Good award of £1,000. The more nominations we get, the better our chance of being selected.

Company giving

Some companies and employers support charities like ACCT in different ways. We would really appreciate it if you think of ACCT if your employer is selecting a Charity of the year or a local cause to support, or has an employee giving scheme.

Please get in touch with us at enquiries@acctsheffield.org.uk if you would like to connect us with your employer for something like this.

Give while you shop

ACCT is set up to receive donations through Give as you Live and Easyfundraising.

You can sign up to use these services via a website or an app. It means that when you’re online shopping at a whole load of different retailers, a donation is made by the companies to ACCT if you buy something.

Memorials

Some families have been kind enough to set up in memorial fundraising when loved ones have passed away, collecting donations independently or through the funeral director or a service like Much Loved. We are incredibly grateful that people think of raising money for ACCT at such a difficult time. You are welcome to contact us for more information on how to arrange a memorial collection for ACCT.

Bequests – leave a legacy to ACCT

Leaving a legacy to charity in your will is a hugely significant decision. When making a will, after you have provided for your relatives and friends, we would be hugely grateful to anybody considering leaving a gift to ACCT.

To include ACCT in your will, please provide these details to your solicitor or will writer:

Charity name: Autistic Children and Carers Together

Charity number: 1169099 (registered in England and Wales)

Charity address: St Mary’s Community Centre, Bramall Lane, Sheffield S2 4QZ

For more information on wills see: www.gov.uk/make-will

We promise to use all legacy gifts wisely, so that your legacy can have a positive impact on the lives of autistic young people long into the future.

If you would prefer your legacy gift to be restricted to a specific area of our charity’s work, then please contact us to discuss how best we can honour your wish.

You don’t need to let us know if you have included a gift to ACCT to your Will, but you are welcome to do so. In any case, please know that all of us at ACCT are deeply grateful for the support of donors like you.

Thank you so much for supporting ACCT.
