The Autism Spectrum Database-UK project (ASD-UK)

This project is led by a team at Newcastle University and funded by Autistica, The Ryegate Team is supporting this development as they think it is important to learn more about ASD.

The aim is:

· To establish a national UK database of children with ASD who are as representative as possible of the general ASD population.

· To provide a data resource regarding children with a range of ASD diagnoses of different ages and abilities, allowing us to answer some relevant questions about ASD.

· To give families the opportunity to take part in research that will help to answer important research questions. The studies that will be supported are those which aim to bring about advances in the care and treatment of children with ASD. These will be studies that may lead to improvements in the quality of life for individuals and their families.

If you would like to know more about this project and consider taking part ( without obligation) please contact Dr Val Harpin at the Ryegate Centre, Tapton Crescent Road, Sheffield S10 5DD or email who will be happy to give you more information.

We hope you will support this important project.
