ACCT’s Minecraft server runs online twice per week –

  • Every Thursday at 18:00 – 20:00
  • Every Saturday at 09:45 – 12:15

Both sessions are for all age groups and run by our dedicated staff team.

If you’re a regular player already, you can use your own account, or if you don’t have an account, we have a number of accounts that ACCT members can borrow for the session times. Come along to build, explore and chat with your ACCT pals!

You’ll need access to a computer, an internet connection, and to download and install Minecraft on to your computer in order to join in. Unfortunately, we are unable to help with external issues, such as installing Minecraft, setting up computers, internet connections, etc. For this reason, parents should be available to help children while playing. ACCT staff will be on hand to help with in-game issues, and help your children get involved.

ACCT AGM, Wednesday 27th January 2021, 7.30-8.30pm

Please come and join us on a device screen near you for the ACCT Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 27th January, 7.30-8.30pm on Zoom. If you’d like to join us at the AGM, please email enquiries@acctsheffield.org.uk and we will send out the Zoom link near to the AGM date.

In this short meeting for ACCT members and anybody else interested, ACCT trustees and staff will update you on ACCT’s achievements and our finances, we elect trustees to serve on the board, and we appoint an accountant to carry out the independent examination of our annual accounts that charity law requires. The meeting is focused on 2019-20 and the annual report and accounts for that year. As 2019-20 now feels like absolute ancient history, we will also take the opportunity to talk with you, the ACCT membership, about what we’ve been doing this year and our plans for the coming year.

The agenda for the AGM and the minutes from last year’s meeting, as well as the 2019-20 annual report and accounts are all available to download from here. If anybody has any questions for us about the annual report or anything else ACCT-related in advance of the meeting, you can ask via enquiries@acctsheffield.org.uk.

We are always interested to hear from people who are interested in getting more involved in ACCT, and that includes joining the ACCT board as a trustee. You can join the ACCT board at any time – you don’t have to do it at the AGM. If you’re interested, contact us at enquiries@acctsheffield.org.uk and we can give you more information about what’s involved and invite you along to a meeting as an observer so you can decide whether it’s right for you. At the AGM, one third of the existing board resign and can stand again for re-election. This year, long-standing trustees Claire Dyson and Deborah Young will be standing for re-election. We’re hugely grateful to Claire, Deborah and the rest of the ACCT board, who give their time, energy and expertise to help lead our work.

In all honesty, AGMs aren’t always the most scintillating of meetings, but they are really important, so we hope you’ll consider logging in for an hour (maybe a bit less) and joining the conversation! Email us at enquiries@acctsheffield.org.uk to get the Zoom link for the AGM. We hope to see you there.

Best wishes,

Danny and the ACCT Team

Short Breaks and National Lockdown

We have received confirmation that under the current guidance published at the weekend that Short Break services can remain open, which means that Teenage Club and Acctivate will continue to run through November.

Unfortunately all grassroots sport has to stop from midnight tonight so we will sadly have to move ACCT Academy to online Zoom sessions in place of in-person sessions.
This Friday our fantastic coaches will be running a Football Quiz!! To join the meeting please email enquiries@acctsheffield.org.uk for an invite and link. Parents welcome too!

With regards to football at Teenage Club and Acctivate, we will continue to run this as an activity but without contact and with social distancing in place. Our football coaches are very experienced and will continue to make football a fun and engaging activity regardless of the restrictions in place.

Since returning to in-person clubs we have been focusing on cleaning, hand hygiene, the use of PPE and social distancing at our clubs. With cases of Covid-19 continuing to rise this will continue to be at the forefront of our work to ensure our setting is a safe place for everyone.

Our online provision continues to be a popular space for our members! The ACCT Minecraft server is open to all ages on Thursdays 6-8pm and Saturdays 9.45-12.15pm, our dedicated and experienced staff are on hand to support, guide and help your young people to have fun!!
